150th Anniversary Dinner

26th November 2021

The week culminates on Friday with the 150th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at Grange Rd. Tickets for the dinner will be £90.00 (with a concessionary price of £55 for current students and recent graduates). Tickets can be purchased via the link below. Past players from the same era will be seated together as far as possible. Tables will seat 8-12 and can be reserved by emailing Fabia.

Speakers

Prof Mark Bailey

A four-time Blue, he captained the side to victory in ’83 and ’84. He won 7 caps for England and then joined the RFU playing committee. He became High Master of St Paul’s School and is now a Professor of Later Medieval History at UEA.

Tammy Samuel

Tammy played in the 1994 and 1995 Varsity Matches and went on to play for Saracens and win 6 caps for England. She is now a Senior Partner at Stephenson Harwood LLP and is an expert in railways law and regulation.

Prof Sir Leszek Borysiewicz

Former Vice-Chancellor of the University. He served as the Chief Executive of the Medical Research Council from 2007-2010 and is the current chair of Cancer Research UK.  He was knighted in 2001 for his pioneering work in vaccines.

David Quinlan

David played professionally for Leinster and Northampton Saints, as well as winning 2 caps for Ireland. After his retirement from professional rugby in 2007 David qualified as a lawyer, specialising in the commercial and sports sectors.
